Color Me {Coral & Lilac}

Happy Monday friends. Today's color combination is a little out of the ordinary, but one I'm obsessing over at the moment. Coral has always been one of my favorite shades to pair with colors like aqua, navy, and pink. Recently though, I saw it partnered up with gorgeous lilac. The combo was a little unusual in my eyes but I couldn't help but stare. Together, coral and lilac are a bright, spring-like color duo that certainly catch any eye in the room. Try using them for a backyard gathering or a birthday bash and mix with neutral patterns for the ultimate impact.

Color Me {Pastel}

For the past couple of days my house has been decorated in an array of bright colors, multi toned fringe, and tri-colored streamers. It's been a world of high spirited fun that surely put me in such a good mood just staring at the rainbow of flags draped across my living room that gave me the inspiration for today's post. Why pick just one color when you can have them all? With out a doubt, more colors equal more fun. Granted they all have to coordinate, but an array of coral, mint, lavender, rose, and butter yellow scream of the perfect spring soiree. These pastel shades aren't just for tea parties and baby showers anymore. Try them for a fun ice cream social, an outdoor birthday bash, or even a wedding!

Color Me {Strawberry Lemonade}

As the sun gets brighter and the days get longer, I can't help but remember back to a simpler time. When your a kid, all that really matters is having fun. You're carefree, full of life and celebrate each little victory. I can't help but wonder why it can't be the same when we grow up. It is my vow that from now on, I will take the little kids approach to life. Celebrate everything and just have fun. Today's post is an ode to that. The pink and yellow combo screams of spring and fun memories. Just looking at it, I can't help but smile and want to bust out the old fashioned lemonade stand for some neighborhood fun. Color Me {Mint}

Happy Monday y'all! Spring has officially sprung (even though the temperatures may not feel like it) and it's time to pack away those lifeless winter colors. I've been dreaming a lot about bright spring shades lately and can't get enough of how happy they make me. I posted last week about vibrant coral but wanted to save my favorite spring shade till the season had officially begun. Even before mint was the color of the year, I was obsessed. It reminds me of the islands and relaxing times. Plus it's just one of those colors that makes me smile just looking at it. And isn't that what spring is all about! 

Color Me {Bright Coral}

Saturday I was setting up a wedding for one of these fabulous couples that are truly perfect for each other. They wanted to create the perfect day to celebrate with their friends and family that was simple but elegant. We accomplished that goal with a splash of coral. The color was so bright, happy and spring like that it instantly put guests in a good mood. This bright shade of coral is so lovely that it will be a must this season!

Color Me {Red with Love}

Happy Valentine's week! Tis the week of love and showing those you care for most how much they mean to you. In the spirit of love, I wanted to fill today's post with shades of it. Adorned with various pinks and reds, this color pallet is not only perfect for the day of love but for the upcoming spring season. These bright shades bring a sense of happiness and a welcoming spirit. So as we raise a glass of champagne to love this week let's also toast to the oncoming spring season and a series of bright posts to come!

The Secret Garden

Happy First Day of Spring! The spirit of the season is already filling the air here with warm temperatures and pollen everywhere. But none of that matters because finally the flowers will begin to bloom and no longer will I be forced to stare at bare, lifeless trees (The one outside my front door is especially ugly during winter months.). With such beauty now returning outside my window, it is taking everything in me not to spend every minute soaking up the sun and I'm sure all of you feel the same. So in honor of our urge to spend more time enjoying the outdoors, let's throw a garden party with no hot tea or cucumber sandwiches required! While pastels and fresh cut blooms are a must, impress your guests with a table set under the trees. Serve up champagne and macaroons, fruity salads and fresh roasted vegetables. Keep everything light and airy, just like the season, to create the ultimate impact. Encourage floral frocks, sandals, and a good time at a wonderful garden soiree to open the party season!

Color Me {Lilac}

After two days of blistering cold, by which I mean highs in the mid 50s, my desire for spring time temperatures has been solidified. And, with warmer temperatures, comes brighter colors. Never a fan a purple, lately I've been lusting after lilac. Whether on its own or paired with shades of green or turquoise, lilac is a fresh shade for spring. It ties in beautifully no matter the feel of your soiree. It's a perfect compliment to both a rustic rumble or a glam gathering.
