Color Me {Cafe Mocha}
I have finally done the impossible. I have given up coffee. While I haven't cut it out completely, I have significantly cut back. No longer do I rely on the delicious caffeine loaded beverage to wake up and get me through the day. But, I do enjoy a cup once or twice a week, say on a Saturday morning or one of those days when it's especially hard to get going. Now that I've given up my habit, when I do indulge, I like to make it extra special by sipping on a soy cappuccino or my favorite pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks. Something I noticed though, that always slipped me before, is the beauty in the color of deluxe coffee. The mix of light beige from the milk combined with the dark chocolate color of the roast is a combo to classic to pass up. It's perfect for fall too. The warm shades in combination with the cool temperatures outside make any get together feel welcoming and perfect. Try using it with a splash of mustard or garnet to create your one of a kind fall fete!
Have a great Monday!

Give Thanks
Thanksgiving is just a short week away, and I've got my table all planned out. This year I'm going with a simplistic rustic feel. Thanksgiving is the ultimate holiday to go rustic in my book. A centerpiece of branches is perfect for guests to hang what they are thankful for on. I've laid out felt leaves in the middle of the table along with a silver sharpie so each guest can take one and write what they are thankful for and hang it on the branch. Somewhere towards the end of dinner, you can pick a leaf off and read what it says. I plan on setting up the meal as a buffet but by tieing guests silverware with a piece of twine they won't have to worry about carrying that on top of their already full plates. Keep the colors fall like and neutral using reds, oranges, and browns and whites. What I love about decorating for Thanksgiving, is you don't have to look farther than your back yard for all the items you need! How will you be decorating your table this year?

Color Me {Espresso}
Every fall I put away the bright colors and opt for richer tones. I crave deep reds, burnt oranges, golden yellows, and grays. My latest color obsession for the fall, however, is this dark, rich shade of espresso brown. It reminds me of decadent chocolate cake, and what's not to love about that. Keep it neutral and classic by pairing it with ivory accents or let it accent pale blues, burgundies, or pinks. I'm obsessed with the idea of using classic patterns like stripes and polka dots in the classic pairing of espresso and cream. Mixing the patterns throughout the room would make for the best fall gathering in my book!

This Party Inspired By {Hot Chocolate}
If it's cold outside, nothing beats a nice warm, creamy mug of hot chocolate. And with temperatures finally cooling down here, it's just about time for a nice big glass! But until the temperatures finally reach hot chocolate weather, I suppose I will just tide myself over with a lovely bash inspired by the decadent treat. Warm shades of brown accented by soft shades of cream is the perfect pallet for a winter soiree. They make you feel cozy and are bound to make your guests feel at welcome!
