Destination Dream {South Africa}

Now, this is a real dream! Imagine a gorgeous wedding in the grasslands of the wildlife park. Natural elements and exotic animals surrounding you as you sip amazing South African wines. All I've done is write about it for mere minutes and I'm already pricing out tickets! Imagine what a wonderful experience it would be for guests as well. Tours of wineries and safaris could entertain them for days. And, with a nearby coast they could relax on the beaches while not exploring the natural wildlife. Decor could go one way or another. I love the idea of doing black and white tribal prints, handmade centerpieces and serving utensils from local tribes, and natural tall grasses. The other option, keep it neutral with manly native tall grasses and pops of green leaves. Either way, you can't go wrong with a South African soiree!

Lusting After {Bold Stripes}

Last weekend, a friend of mine gave me the cutest striped Kate Spade coasters for my birthday. Ever since, I've been lusting after their bright shades and eye catching pattern. They left me imagining all the ways I could fill my life with bold stripes whether they be colorful or black and white. With striped straws all ready purchased, it's time to figure out where else I can bring in a pop of pattern. From my wardrobe, to a new tablecloth, or even my stairs, the possibilities are endless. Though, I must admit, I don't think I could ever get away with striping my car!

Home Sweet Home {Laid Back Luxe}

Do you ever find yourself constantly searching for inspiring images for your dream home? It's something that I seem to always do every time I'm on Pinterest. Stumbling upon this image was the worst thing to happen to my dream home design, and I mean that in a good way. Sounds strange I know. But, this image incorporates all that I love in design. Bright colors, bold stripes, and bohemian touches provide for a much desired laid back luxe. I'm now imagining black and white curtain puddled on the floor against beachy blue walls accented by rustic, comfortable furniture. Fill the room with nick nacks from adventures with loved ones, and in my opinion, you've got a very well decorated home! What's the design inspiration of your dream home? Classic, modern, bohemian? A Little Friday Lovin' {Stripes}

So, I'm a little bit obsessed with horizontal stripes right now. Apparently, they are supposed to make you look wider, but frankly "I just don't give a damn." (Who can name that movie?!) I'm kind of obsessed with how classic they are. Stripes are a great pattern to add to any soiree. They bring in a visual interest to the room while still keeping your event classic.  I mean, look at the table in the top right hand corner. It is way more visually appealing than if the striped table cloth were replaced with a solid white one.  I want to know, do you have the same infatuation with stripes as I do? Or are they a little too much for you?

Party Inspired {White Anemone}

I've been obsessing over white anemones for a while now.  They are just so clean, yet intricate. And the coloring is both classic and modern. Continuing with the inspiration, mix it up by even wearing a black gown.  Too daring for you? Maybe accent your gown with some black lace.  But, what I love most is how you can add pops of any color to whatever element you want and not affect the overall feel.  I want to throw in pops of green in some topiaries or even accents of yellow to brighten up the pallet for summer.  You tell me, keep it simply black and white or add in pops of color.  If you want to spice it up, what colors would you add?
