Color Me {Pink Champagne}

Happy Monday! How was everyone's first official weekend of summer? Hopefully you took some time to relax and enjoy some of the things we all love about summer like beach trips, backyard BBQ's, and outdoor fun and games. We spent most of the day yesterday outside enjoying the increasingly hot weather working on projects for the house and a fun DIY I'll show you a little later this week. But as the temperatures rise, I can only try and think of things to keep me cooler (or at least imagine I feel cooler). One way I do this is imagining soft cooler colors like this pink and champagne combo. It's soft, subtle and romantic and gives off a natural elegance that seems easy and not too stiff. I love to use it for all sorts of girly gatherings like at home spa parties, a birthday gathering, bridal showers, and more. Try incorporating it into your next gathering by displaying blush blooms atop a shimmering light gold table linen. Surround with tea lights to complete this cool look!

Center of Attention {Baby's Breath}

Happy Wednesday! We are halfway through the week and it's time for one of my least favorite flowers to take center stage. Yes, you read that right. I know it seems a little off put to feature something that I dislike, but I think my opinion of baby's breath is slowly changing. While I'm still not a fan of it mixed in bouquets, I cant help but notice how gorgeous it is when it stands on its own. It's soft and romantic and definitely a show stopper. The baby's breath here is wonderfully romantic flowing from the tall vase, but I can't help but imagine how lustrous it would be wound up in the shape of a ball hanging from the trees. Layer strings of bulb lights between them for a lovely night affair all are to remember. Keep it from looking dated and cheap by pairing it with modern simple accents or rustic touches.

Center of Attention {Ruffled}

Yes, yes, yes. I know this week's "Center of Attention" isn't exactly a centerpiece, but these ruffled tablecloths are pretty eye catching and worthy of all the attention. Cocktail tables are one of my favorite additions to a party. They encourage guests to gather and mingle with one another instead of sitting at their tables seclusively. With the soft, flowing ruffles give off an elegant, romantic and inviting vibe, guests will be in awe and flocking to tables to admire the intricate details. The texture provides a nice alternative to the typical plain cloth. I suggest keeping everything else simple when using something with such pop. Let the texture do the talking by using neutral colors and keeping centerpieces minimal. A simple bud vase or a beautiful orchid is all you need. I mean with a table linen this show stopping do you really need anymore?
