Color Me {Garnet}

Today is all about superstition. My dear Seminoles are playing for the National Championship tonight and I'm such a nervous wreck that I'm doing everything I can in hopes to not "mess it up" per se. It seems a little silly I know, but I can't help it.  Not only is garnet the color of my beloved Noles, but it's a beautiful rich shade for winter affairs. It pairs nicely with soft neutrals and bold metallics allowing it to be easily incorporated into the color scheme for any type of get together. Plus it really warms up a space on a cold winter's night!

Color Me {Garnet}

Football season kicks off this Saturday and I couldn't be more excited to spend my Saturdays out at Doak Campbell soaking up all the Florida State love. My excitement has me inspired this week and coloring all that I can garnet. Not only is it the signature color of my beloved Seminoles, but a perfect shade to introduce fall. The deep shade of red transitions beautifully from season to season making an impact whether it be the center of attention or in pops. It pairs nicely with golds, browns, and blacks and is the perfect color for casual for formal affairs.

Have a great Monday!

A Little Friday Lovin' {Florida State}

Keep calm. Football season is near. It's true. It's tomorrow! And I can hardly contain my excitement. With a top 10 ranking, I'm really feeling like this is our year! Then again, I think I say that every year. Anyways, I know this week's Friday Lovin' is a little different than usual, but it's right on track with what I'm loving right now. As the season kicks off tomorrow, I will be right there cheering on my Noles decked in garnet and gold! What are you lovin' this Friday?

Have a safe and fun holiday weekend! xo

This Week I Feel...Athletic

Being from the South it's kinda a thing. You don't mess with football season. You can't even think about planning something on a Saturday that does not involve beer and watching football. Well in honor of the first week of college football, (Woo! Go Noles!) prepare yourself for an entire weeks worth of football related posts, starting with today. While I have never played football (for obvious reasons of course), I do fell slightly more athletic watch the players run down the field and tackle.  And oddly enough, just by the amount of football I have watched in my day, I feel I could play much better than any of those stupid people out there on the field that for some reason can't see the guy coming from behind to tackle him (I mean do these guys not have eyes in the back of their heads like my mother always did?). So brace yourself, because football season is upon us, and even if it isn't as hard core in your house as it is in mine, get ready for the fun and excitement that is college football!
