Color Me {Apple Orchard}

It's no secret I'm a Florida girl in and out, meaning I love the hot weather. Just the thought of winter and  being cold makes me want to take off running toward the Caribbean as fast as I can. But, this past weekend, we had our first little taste of fall and I kind of liked it. The afternoons still got up into the high 90s but the mornings and evenings were a nice cool 80 degrees. It was the perfect weather for throwing on a pair of shorts and a chambray shirt and heading out to brunch. Admittedly, it got me excited for fall days ahead. I'm ready for all that the season has to bring like s'mores, bonfires, pumpkin flavors, and apple anything. While I eat apples all year round, nothing beats apple treats in the fall. Whether it be apple pie, apple cider or caramel apples, you really can't go wrong. Plus, the color is gorgeous making for unbelievable decor!

Center of Attention {Broom Stick Escort Cards}

After last year's fiasco of the rotten pumpkin on the front porch, Rob has put me on a strict no pumpkin carving rule until 14 days or less before Halloween. Naturally, I'm not a fan of being put on decorating restrictions. While I understand that all types of bugs coming out of the pumpkin right by our front door is not exactly a good (or sanitary) thing, I still don't like it. So, it has me dreaming of all the ways I'm going to decorate come mid October. With painting pumpkins and barrels of hay already on the short list, I've got room for some more epic ideas to add to my Halloween and fall decor. One of my favorite ideas so far are these broomstick place cards. What a clever way to display names and incorporate a bit of witchery. I love that they can be used for Halloween parties or be carried over to general fall gatherings. I can't wait to make them and bust them out shortly!

Gracious Table

Thanksgiving is next week! Is anyone else as excited as I am? The turkey. The potatoes. The pumpkin pie. I'm getting anxious for quality family time, delicious food, and some intense football games. And while I'm sure your menu is all planned out and your supplies stocked in the pantry, have you thought about how you are going to decorate your table yet? It's almost as important as the turkey! Almost. Decorating your table for Thanksgiving can be simple and easy. To spice it up this year, try setting the table instead of having plates on the buffet. For centerpieces, all you really need is some mini pumpkins, multi colored dried corn on the cob or some fall leaves. These items are sure to spice up your Thanksgiving table and make your guests thankful for a gorgeous table!
