Don't Worry...Be Inspired
Happy Friday dolls! I post everyday about the things that I love and things that I hope will inspire you. Sometimes it's a color I'm loving at the moment. Maybe it's a fun new cocktail that I hope will spark a whole party centered around it. Every once in a while it's a fun DIY for you to incorporate into your next bash. But, I rarely find myself posting about things that really inspire creativity in me. A lot of times it's just a single image I stumble across that really speaks to me right then in that moment. I wanted to share this shot with you today because it did just that. Last night I was recovering from a long day at work, way behind on the blog and feeling completely uninspired for today. Until... I found this picture on Pinterest. It jumped off the screen in that moment and was exactly what I needed to turn my whole evening around. The bright colors are happy and fun putting a smile on my face. Not to mention that the subject of the picture is actually of sea biscuits. My house is full of sea biscuits that I found on the floor of the ocean in the Bahamas and they are a constant reminder of my favorite spot which instantly puts me in a good mood.
Moral of the story, that image was just what I needed in that moment to flip my whole day around. It's what inspired me then and will inspire me through the weekend to create (hopefully!) posts that will inspire you.
Have a great weekend everybody!

Paradise in Pictures
I know it's barely been a week since I left the Abacos, but I'm missing it already. Just looking at pictures of this piece of paradise always seems to put me in a better mood. The cool turquoise waters and warm breeze are the ticket to heart every time. If you've never traveled to the Abacos, it truly is the most amazing chain of islands in the Bahamas. Some of my favorite places there include the traditional little of island of Man-o-War where the Albury women sew the most well made bags made of sails day in and day out, a bit of a dive bar called Nippers with surprisingly good food and a gorgeous view of the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world, Capt'n Jacks who serves up, hands down, the best conch fritters and mac n' cheese in the islands, and the reef at Sandy Key where you can see everything from small colorful fish to barracudas and shark. This trip we even found a new spot to hit, Lubber's Landing. And, let me tell you, their fresh squeezed margarita puts any margarita to shame.
While the next trip is still a ways away, as I go into the weekend, I can look back at pictures of paradise and almost pretend I'm there. Almost...
Tell me, what's your favorite vacation spot?

Color Me {Tropical}
Hi sweets! Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. I am off this week for a much needed vacation in the Bahamas. Feeling inspired today by my tropical destination, I'm lacing this post with the many shades of the Sea of Abaco. From light turquoise to deep blue to clear shades of green, the color combo is one that instantly relaxes me. While I'm exploring the crystal clear waters and relaxing with drink in hand, I've got some great posts lined up for you like 4th of July style pointers from Lauren at La Petite Fashionista and a yummy dish from Jocelyn at Saucy Jocey's Kitchen as well as a few other posts I know you're going to love.
Hope you all have a fabulous week and I will see you back here in a week!
xoxo
