Lusting After {Monograms}

Being from the South, I think it's pretty much a requirement. Even Reese Witherspoon said "If it's not moving, monogram it." I went through a little phase not wanting anything monogramed, but thankfully it's over. Nowadays, I can't wait to engrave those three letter on anything I can. From bouquet ribbons to sheets, from silverware and plates to Tervis tumblers and wine glasses, there is nothing that can't be monogramed. I'm imagining a whole event covered in monograms in subtle ways as to not look overdone. Start with the invitation, move to the cocktail napkins, throw it on a cornhole board, and finish it off with a thank you card on your favors. I can't think of a better way to decorate a southern soiree right now!

Destination Dream {Raleigh}

Happy Friday! I'm off today for a beautiful wedding in Raleigh, North Carolina. This southern fete has me excited to spend time with much missed friends and have some fun. Having never been to the "City of Oaks", I can't wait to take in all the city has to offer. With tons of local breweries, I want to sample as many local favorites as possible. Maybe, we will even get a chance to take in the huge farmers and flea market at the fair grounds. However, if we don't get a chance to do either, I know we will still enjoy the big day soaking in the southern beauty.

Goin' to the Chapel

I have great news! I have just found out that one of my best friends is getting married in August. With such a short timeline, planning must begin immediately. The summer nuptials will take place in North Carolina, the perfect setting for a rustic southern soiree. The inspiration behind the big day is a casual, laid back event full of fun and laughs. With friends gathering from across the country to share in their special moment, this isn't only a wedding but a reunion of sorts. The outdoor affair will feature vintage touches, handmade details, and a bit of southern flair. Imagine a rustic barn, warm candle light, white blooms, and summer fun including corn hole, late night dancing, and bon fires complete with s'mores when the sun goes down. With a color scheme of greens and white, the natural, rustic feel will be naturally fun too. Can't wait to share more details of her big day as time approaches!
